The Christmas cats

Gingerbreadcat

Made of: A gingerbread biscuit with icing and sweetie buttons. A spicy little show-off with three sweetie buttons.

Gingerbreadcat is a cartoon cat made out of a gingerbread biscuit, baked a warm spiced brown, with neat white icing piped around the edges, rosy cheeks and three bright sweetie buttons down the front. Gingerbreadcat is the face of the Christmas range, and knows it.

A spicy little show-off with a heart of pure treacle, Gingerbreadcat insists on wearing all three sweetie buttons at once, every single day, and polishes them before breakfast. Gingerbreadcat loves an audience, a sparkly bauble and the first carol on the radio, and will happily strike a pose for anyone holding a camera.

Favourite spot: the rug in front of the fireplace, close to the tree and the presents, where the warmth makes the whole bakery smell of ginger and cinnamon.

Quirks: giggles with a crisp little snap, double-checks the icing in every shiny spoon and gets very excited about the first frost. Behind the showing off, Gingerbreadcat is a big softie who simply wants everyone to have the cosiest Christmas ever.
